AGREEMENT

These terms govern your use of The Archive, including reading files, creating an account, posting, commenting, voting, and using points, streaks, and clearance. By creating an account, including with GitHub or Google, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or post.

THE SITE IS A DISCUSSION FORUM

The Archive is a place to discuss conspiracy theories and related claims. Theories, comments, evidence, and other user content are opinions, speculation, and allegations posted by users. They are not verified fact, not an official finding, and not professional, legal, medical, financial, or scientific advice. You are responsible for how you use what you read here. The operators do not endorse a theory because it is listed, ranked, or given a clearance level.

ACCOUNTS

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials to yourself. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may sign in with email and password, GitHub, or Google. One person should not impersonate another person or an institution.

Administrators and moderators may be asked to enroll an authenticator-app code (TOTP). When the operator turns enforcement on, those roles must finish that check before opening moderation tools. Enforcement is off until the operator enables it, so existing staff can enroll first.

YOUR CONTENT

You keep ownership of the text, links, and media you submit. You grant the operator a non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content on the site and in backups, including showing it to other users and formatting it for the archive. This license ends when the content is removed from the live site, except for copies kept in backups until they rotate and for content other users have quoted.

You agree not to post content that:

• you do not have the rights to share;
• doxes a private person or posts their private contact, financial, or identity documents;
• threatens, harasses, or incites violence against a person;
• is illegal to publish where you or the site operates, including sexual content involving minors;
• is malware, or is posted only to disrupt the site.

Disagreement, unpopular theories, and claims other people consider false are allowed. Presenting a theory as your claim is allowed. Pretending it is a verified record of the site is not.

MODERATION

The operator, administrators, and moderators may review reports and may remove, refuse, edit classification of, or lock content, and may warn, suspend, or delete accounts. They may do this to enforce these terms, to comply with law, or to keep the archive usable. Moderation is not a promise that any particular post will stay up or come down. A suspended account is directed to the suspension page. You may contact the address below to appeal.

POINTS AND STREAKS

Clearance levels, points, streaks, passes, and dead drops are game features. They are not currency, not property, and not redeemable for money. The operator may change the rules, reset a score that was awarded by abusing a bug, or turn the game off.

ACCEPTABLE USE OF THE SERVICE

Do not attempt to break into accounts, probe the database, or interfere with other people's use of the site. Do not scrape the site so aggressively that it degrades service. Automated posting that pretends to be a person is not allowed.

ENDING ACCESS

You may stop using the site at any time and may ask us to delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Sections that should survive (content already licensed, disclaimers, liability limits, and the law that applies) survive termination.

DISCLAIMER AND LIABILITY

The site is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, the operator disclaims warranties of accuracy, availability, and fitness for a particular purpose. The operator is not liable for user content or for decisions you make based on it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the site in the previous twelve months, which for this free archive is zero. These limits do not apply where a statute forbids them, including non-waivable consumer rights.

LAW THAT APPLIES

These terms are governed by the laws that apply where the operator resides, without prejudice to mandatory protections you have in your place of residence. Those protections include rights under the GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA, Canada's PIPEDA, and Quebec's Law 25, as described in the Privacy Policy. If a court finds one section unenforceable, the rest still applies.
