The late-1953 reports are five U.S. Air Force intelligence files on unexplained sightings, released in the Pentagon's October 2026 UAP release: a light on the Soviet island of Big Diomede seen from Little Diomede, Alaska (D161); a steady light over the sea west of Gambell on St. Lawrence Island (D162); two silent glowing rings that hovered and sped away over Seymour, Indiana (D164); shape-shifting radar returns over French Morocco (D160); and a shining metal sphere passed by a Swedish airliner over Hässleholm (D163). The officers who filed them suggested causes such as a passing ship or geese and storks; the Morocco file reasoned its way to three candidates without choosing among them, and the other four leave the question open.
